These shoes were made for kickin' butt

Sorry it's been forever. I was holed up on my little private island in the Caribbean with Mariah. hehehe

Anyways...

These Louise Goldin shoes were in Elle this past month, and I had to post on them. They're too amazing to ignore. Perfect for New Years, right?

Snake Rings

Ever since I saw my cousin Julia wearing a snake ring, I've been completely obsessed with finding one. It's like I've suddenly become Medusa, minus the whole turning people to stone thing.

This design is by Kenneth Jay Lane. They make one in silver too, and it has ruby eyes. Pretty fierce.

I heart Karlie

Karlie Kloss, the seventeen-year old supermodel, has appeared in Vogue more this year than any other model. Did I mention that she's only seventeen? When I was seventeen I was going to soccer practice and working at Hollister.

I have to love any girl who's bringing back rosebud lips. Gotta represent!

This outfit is amazing. The long blue velvet blazer looks chic with black leather boots and opaque tights. I like models who have really good fashion sense. It shows they know the industry instead of just being gorgeous.

Nine!

I've been chomping at the bit for this movie to come out since I found out it was even happening. Not only does the song "Unusual Way" give me chills, but I'm more than happy to watch anything with Penelope Cruz in it.

The fashion is another drawl, with its perfectly timed nineteen-forties style. Everyone looks like they could pass for Dior's "New Look", minus Daniel Day-Lewis and the prostitutes, of course.

The strikingly-fabulous cinched waists and coiffed suits are fierce. Lanvin did a very 40's inspired collection for their fall ready to wear collection. I love seeing reinvented sillhouettes on the runway.

The lingerie Fergie sports isn't half bad either, if you're into that sort of thing.

Kate Hudson's character, an American fashion journalist, seems to be covered in sequins for most of the film. Sounds like a dream come true to me!

This weeks column!

kisskiss.

Tulle is everywhere!

Hello loves!

Viktor & Rolf just debuted these insane cut-out tulle dresses. They look like the prima ballerina got caught in a hole punch. Katy Perry looks awesome in hers!

If you look closely, you can kind of see a face...It looks like either Van Gogh or Pacman.

I like the tulle accent on her sleeve. It's a simplified way to wear the trend, without looking too over the top. The dark skinny slacks and platform pumps are killer with it.

Kirkwood boots by Rodarte

I'm in love with these thigh-high leather boots from Rodarte! They're called the Kirkwood boots, which is the name of the main street in the town where I go to school!
The leather-covered badass moto chick look is too cool, and thigh-high boots are super fierce.

Commencer!

I'm your typical self-proclaimed college fashionista, who woke up one morning covered in study guides and coffee stains and decided to start a fashion blog.

So here is the first post. I guess this is what you might call the "building it up phase" of my blogging career.

Perhaps one day I'll rival Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist. He did go to my University after all.

I've recently been accepted to the American Intercontinental University's Fashion Journalism and Photography program in Paris! I'll be there this coming summer for five weeks. I don't think I've ever been more excited for anything.

I'm also a fashion columnist for my schools newspaper, the IDS. Here's a link to this past weeks column!

More posts to come when it isn't finals week!
